Future Job
Today I'm gonna tell you about my future job.
I'm studying visual art, my major is engraving, I chose it because I like drawing. However I didn't really know much about engraving. After spending so much time working in this workshop, I learnt a lot of techniques, like etching, lithography, xylography, I learnt to be careful and clean, and be patient, now I love it and I would like to do it for the rest of my life.
For this reasons I’d like to get a job as printer in an engraving workshop. In a job like that you have to be clean, meticulous, patient, you have to be a good printer. But everything that I say depends of each engraving workshop, because it’s all different, there are workshops in what the boss are more exigent that in other workshop, there are workshops with people that is a mess, some workshops are organized and clean, others are disorganized and dirty, like the engraving workshop of the university.
If someday I’ll get a job in a engraving workshop, I would like that the workshop was clean and organized and that the boss was exigent, because I like to do a good job, rather, a excellent job.
I think that I can get a job like that, because if you ask to me about my strengths and weaknesses I'll say that I have all necesary to work in an engraving workshop, I'm organized, clean, patient, and a good printer, but I don't like work with other persons, and sometimes I get frustrated easily, but not much.

Music
Music is a very important
part of my life.. I specially like rock and classical music. Every
day I listen metal or punk music but if I have to choose one kind of
music I'll choose classical music, I think that it is very complete,
it happens to me that sometimes I think the other music is boring,
because in a moment you can realize that battery, guitar, rhythm,
pulse.. everything don't change very much of one song to other, but
with classical music it's different, because in a one piece of music
we can find different moments, like a moments when music is faster
than other, sad or lively, quiet or energetic, and you can see that
in concerts, symphonies, songs, etc. because it have movements, that
it's been divide according to the tempo (e.g. Adagio, Presto,
Allegro, Andante, etc.) and it have points of tension that other
music isn't consider.
Well, when I was twelve I
start to listen music and I found a band that had a violin, and since
that moment I love violin and I wanted one... and when I was fourteen
my father gave a violin to me. I think … since that moment I love
classical music. I think It has everything that you need to listen,
because.... also there are a big variety as to composers I refer and instruments too! You
can listen Baroque, Classic, Romantic music, etc... Vivaldi, Bach,
Mahler, Bartók, Sibelius, Stravinsky, Rachmaninoff, Cage, etc. They
are all different, but it's all called “classical music”.
There are so many instruments, composers, music... different cultures that make different kind of music.. (classical music) I found music is fascinating...

Why did I choose to study art
I always liked draw,
since I was a little child and I always wanted to study art, but I
began to think seriously in this when I was in high school, I don't
know why... well, in any case... I always have been related to art,
because I have an uncle who was studied art, here where I'm studying
now.
To be honest, for a moment I doubted it (study art) because I began
to play violin and I loved that very much, so much that I thought
study violin, but I had a problem.. well, more than one problem,
problems with my parents, with school, etc. After that I decided
study art, it was a kind of rebelliousness, I don't tell that to
anyone until I had postulated to enter in this career. My parents
hate me, but now they resign themselves... they don't like that, but
they have to understood one way or another.
Now I can say that after
all I'm happy with my decision to study art and I don't care what
happen I always do that.
I don't know what I'm
going to do when I graduate, but I hope find a job in any engraving
workshop, because it's my speciality... I think I'm going to do that.
I love drawing, I love
engraving, I love art (and I love my violin)

My best holiday
-->
I remember when I was a child... with my family we travelled every
summer to Valdivia or a place near of that city.
My best holiday were when we went to Calafquen lake, It was in 2004 or 2005, I don't remember the year very well.. I went with all my family (my three sisters and my parents) we camp in a place that called 'Ecocamping' I remember that because one of my sisters wrote a song with that name, the most stupid song that I ever heard, and every time we go out of the camping she sang her song.
In that summer we went to hot thermal baths, we went to Coñaripe, Licanray, Riñihue and Ranco lakes and others little towns around.
Everything was perfect, but one day the wheater change and rained all day, rained so much that we had to slept in the car (me and my parents) and my sisters slept in the house of the owner. But... actually it wasn't bad, it was funny!
After that we had to go to another place, because we couldn't camp there.
I always remember that holidays, because Valdivia it's beautiful, because we had to sleep in the car, and actually... I really don't know why, but I passed a very good time with my family.

Firts term: good and bad points
Well... in my last semester many things happened in my life.
First we had summer classes in January and in February we finally went on holidays, in April one of my sisters went to live with her boyfriend (that was good), then I went to live to another house... in the country and we grew a vegetable garden! but there were rabbits living around and they ate some of the vegetables.
Another event was that my sister call my mother on the phone and she tell us she was pregnant.
My oldest sister had a lower jaw operation and she went to live with me and my family.
In the university everything was normal (except for the class in January) I passed all my subjects and I knew two persons very special and now they are very important in my life because they supported me in very difficult moments like when I broke up with my boyfriend.

Bleak Paintings

I admire Maya Kulenovic since that I known her, she is a Canadian painter, She was born in 1975 in Sarajevo, now living and working in Toronto.
Well... she has four series of paintings: faces, landscape, build and stills. Her paintings are very bleak. Maya Kulenovic has exhibited in over twenty solo exhibitions and over fourty group shows and art fairs. Her paintings can be seen in numerous collections around the world.
Here you can see an examples of her work:

Faces:
Always struck me that kind of atmosphere, the conflict between shadows and light, in what sometimes seems darkness wins the battle, but suddenly light appears from nowhere for show some gloomy buildings, faces and landscape. About her work she said ''Art is a form of daily meditation on the three cornerstones of human experience: life, death and love. The many permutations of these three shape our daily events and human behaviour- our collective history, memory and hope.
Most of my works bear some reference to war, mortality and fragility of culture. The extreme experiences of war and genocide, as collective madness, evoke an element of chaos and transform our collective consciousness, bringing out both its creative and destructive elements. I think of my paintings as investigations into the unreliable nature of safety, possessions and knowledge - and the search for spirituality of some sort, as a promise of compassion.''
In this video you can see her work in progress:
